Let us Grant your Wish

Three Kinds of Grants

School Grants further the educational opportunities of students attending public school in the Junction City School District. Requests must be submitted by the school administrator.

The Cindy Biboux Memorial Grant is for teachers or non-administrative employees of the Junction City School District.  The purpose is to fund coursework, instruction and materials for classified and certified staff, or to fund improvement of instruction in the classroom, or to provide grant funds to classified staff as they seek to educate and inspire students.

Community Grants further the educational opportunities of community members, with funds administered by non-profit organizations operating within the Junction City School District.

Compel Us with your Proposal

We respond to grant requests initiated through our online application. A strong proposal should be well beyond the conceptual stage, have a clear plan, timeline, and budget. There should be defined educational benefits or outcomes and a description of who and why your organization supports the proposal.

Proposals are reviewed by our Board of Directors, which meets once a month. Grant requestors will receive a response regarding funding decisions or next steps, if any, usually within three to four weeks.

Does Grant Money Grow on Trees?

School Grant funds come from our School and Community Grand Endowment and the Long Tom Grange School Endowment. The total distribution available is divided and allocated to each school based on the student enrollment for that school. The funds for the Cindy Biboux Memorial Grant are donated by family and friends of Cindy Biboux, in her memory. Community Grant funds are from our School and Community Grant Endowment. Read more about ETF’s donors.

Deadlines & Exclusions

If the funds for a School Grant are not requested by April 1 the funds allocated for that school will be moved to a general grant fund that any school in the district may apply for. All funds must be requested and disbursed prior to the end of the school year or they will be forfeited. Requests for the Cindy Biboux Memorial Grant must be submitted and disbursed between September 1 and June 30 of each year. Community Grant funds must be requested and disbursed prior to June 30 or they will be forfeited.

The funds cannot be spent on travel or labor costs, and are not intended to fund regularly budgeted items. Requests for all grants are reviewed on a monthly basis at the ETF Board Meeting.
